grateful for small things

as i was browsing online last night, my phone rang but i didn't know who was calling. when i took the call, it was my two friends telling me to come over to one of our college hangout place for a little chat and drinks. it was already ten in the evening but i still went because i missed them. there, we seem to just gravitate to one table, as one friend to another came over to chat. there were three of us in the beginning and when it was time to go home at 1 am, there were already six of us! :D i went home a bit dizzy but happy... conversations went through love lives, old friends, work, fb social networking, and funny stories. one of our conversations went like this:

eo: so anong itatawag mo na ngayon sa mahal mo, babe, honey?
wl: honey na lang para bago.
sr (ang matinik na babae): honey na lang. ang honey kasi, di nabubulok... hehehe

astig?

one of our conversations also went through fb, the social networking site. one of our younger friend said that he'll make a fan page for our infamous classmate for doing the most "stupid" mistake ever in the history of the department that caused him to get barred from the building premises. as it was exciting and funny, the others who do not have fb accounts promised to make one immediately. as of this writing, two already had made their accounts and we're still waiting for the fun page! :D

i finished my report yesterday and today was the day to edit it. i thought i'll be able to submit it for checking early this morning but as it turned out, i still need to add a few things and it went until the end of day. my boss recognized my work so i didn't have to rush things along. i'm glad. thank God that he is being kind to me now...

a story a day

this year, i will try to write something good, funny or unique, that happened to me during the day, even if it's inconsequential.

to start off, i experienced something weird yesterday at the office. at lunch, my supervisor informed me that we will be meeting with our partners to discuss the next actions we're going to take for our project. later in the afternoon though, he told me that there was a change of plans and only he and our manager will go to the meeting. he then handed me his flashdrive so i could transfer my file to him and immediately left to talk (i guess) to talk to our manager. i turned then to my computer to start transferring the file. as i was waiting for the transfer to finish and the printing to stop, i heard, behind my back, my officemate telling me that my supervisor already left. i didn't mind that person because i know that the sup will not leave without his flashdrive, and i just happened to think that he just walked past the corridor not long ago.

when i finished transferring the file, i approached my friend and asked her if she was the one who told me that the sup left already but she said that she never left workstation at all. that was weird, i said to myself, so i asked the other girls if they were the ones who talked to me while i was at my station transferring the file. and guess what was their answer? no, they never left their place.

so who was that who talked to me? i hope it's not a ghost. i didn't feel anything creepy, though, just a hint that there might be something wrong. so the big question is, until now, who was it?

i was also so happy yesterday because even though it was kind of late, my vacation lodging benefit was approved!
