wedding bells ringing

although it's not for me...

a few nights ago, my friends and i had dinner at this great place. it was a time for celebration of friendship and a new year ahead for all of us. it was a time to welcome the news of a wedding.

two of my friends are getting married this year. i've known them since the guy started courting her when we were still sharing a room studying for our big test. it was a joke among us that i only approved of him because everytime he comes for a visit, he would always bring me pringles, and my friend would always share the chocolate-coated macadamia nuts with me. even then, i was addicted to chocolates. anyways, when that surfaced during our dinner, we had a great laugh over it. that was good times. and now, it's even better.

over salad, pasta and pizza, and after eight ice cream, we poured over bridal gowns. my friend printed out wedding photos to choose from: 5 points for top pick. we argued about the merits of one gown, and laugh at others' ridiculous design. we talked about entourage (or lack of it) and we talked about the motif. the main reason is because we all have to look for dresses now! however, she advised us not to yet because some of us might be part of the entourage and buying a dress might not be necessary. (no matter what though, i'm buying a dress! it's just too much fun to prepare). lastly, we talked her into showing us her engagement ring. *sigh* it was handsome and it didn't come cheap! full points to the guy! :)

now, we are just waiting for some news. she once told me that it's kind of stressful to think about all the things she need to do but it was kind of successful. i guess it is both of it... i just hope that when my time comes, i can handle the stress... but i will persevere because in the end, what matters most is that you'll get to spend the rest of your life with the person you love most.

now that reminds me... A and I have to prepare for the video we're planning to make for the reception. after all, we've got plenty of pictures with both of them on it! :)
